INTERESTING RE GEORGIA HOUSE SPEAKER DAVID RALSTON

David Ralston was elected Speaker of the House in 2010 with a healthy majority of the vote. In 2011 Stacey Abrams was nominated but requested her name be withdrawn from the nominations. Less than 15 voted nay and with no opposition everybody else voted yea. Why would Stacy Abrams want her name removed from nomination? It would have been good on her resume running for governor seven years later. Deal? Hmmmmm. . . . Read the House Journals below.
