Campaign suspended until further notice.

Deborah Davis Age 71, widowed, grandmother, expecting my first great grandchild. I have had many experiences and accumulated understanding of what people can experience including a home fire, medical expenses, illness, financial difficulty, bereavement, injustice, and disability hindrances. I am a 19 year breast cancer survivor. I enjoy reading, writing, research, music, my grandchildren, and am interested in genealogy, history, racing, vintage cars and gardening. I have a cat named Lexington. I am of the Baptist faith.
Over the last few years I have had some health issues but have improved, hopefully will continue improving and will adapt as able and necessary to try to serve Georgia by being a write-in candidate for governor.
I live on Social Security <$1500 per month. I have a small cash reserve and a small credit card balance with a reverse mortgage on my only residence/property. I own my car. I own no stocks or interest in any business and dont want any. You may read or download my work experience resume here.
In addition to my resume, I am former state Secretary of the Constitution Party of Georgia. My husband taught me to drive a tractor trailer back when you had to get hours to get a license which I chose not to do to keep the home fires burning. I used my trucking contacts to send supplies to South Carolina after Hurricane Hugo. I have taught Sunday School and really enjoyed teaching Bible School. I have attended Board of Elections meetings and in effort to learn about elections. I have attended court hearings and observed demonstrations of procedures regarding elections. I filed Motion to Intervene in Curling v. Raffensperger. I trained and worked a poll and pollwatched and observed several election procedures. I navigated the legal system without being a lawyer regarding my husband’s death to apply to the Supreme Court of the United States seeking justice. I once had no choice but to defend myself on a traffic charge and won. Whatever life has presented I tried to do what I could.
I have considered the cost and requirements for the various means of running for office, therefore I have opted for write-in candidacy for governor of Georgia. My campaign, as with many things I have faced, will be the best I can do with the resources at my disposal. My name will not be printed on the ballot or included with absentee ballots unless there is a runoff then my name will/is supposed to be printed on the ballot. Write-in candidate names are supposed to be posted in the poll. If you dont see them ask a pollworker. Plans are in progress to notify every county election director of qualification of this candidate and request inclusion in the poll and ballot election management system pursuant to law. Those who wish to vote for me will need to select/write-in on the absentee ballot or machine and write or type in my qualified candidate name. Find write-in candidates at https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/s/ and use the print option to print them. Should you not see me as a listed write-in candidate, please advise on the feedback form below.

Since we don’t know what counting or voting procedure will be in place for the 2026 general election, that write-in information will be posted here when it becomes available. You will not be allowed to have your phone out in the voting booth, but for your convenience you may download the information and print it to take it with you to the poll. You may wish to pass it to someone else outside of the campaigning forbidden area as you leave the poll.

As a write-in candidate for governor I will not use a leadership committee and will return left over campaign donations proportionately or donate to a charity as law allows. If elected I will:
- Reserve the 15th of each month to meet with citizens,
- Ask for volunteers from each county as a citizens advisory board,
- Only accept contributions from registered Georgia voters (and verifes that status) – no pacs, companies, or outsiders. Contribution limits to protect contributor personal information because elections should not be about money. Please help me do this by having your voter information when contributing. You may get your voter information at https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/s/ I seek your vote and support more than money,
- Work to eliminate all outside, unnecessary vendors from Georgia voting (Dominion, ERIC, etc.),
- Work for equal ballot access for political parties, political bodies, and independents,
- Stress that citizens have a right to have law followed and that such be done,
- Work to make state employment be merit based,
- Eliminate as much excess as possible and streamline processes,
- Request a slowed down, more thoughtful legislative session so that needful matters get addressed timely,
- And much more contingent upon citizen input and evaluation,
- No candidate can guarantee that any action will be achieved, therefore goals and concerns will be the focus, not get-elected promises.
- Request that House rules be changed to limit Speaker of the House to two terms including partial portions as if they were a full term.
I am concerned about insurance and utility rates and some procedures as well as lobbying. I am concerned that there is little information regarding rates of insurance and utilities that allows Georgians to be good consumers. I am concerned about data centers and taxes. I am concerned about government being too big and living affordability.
